**What you will do**:
As part of our continued exciting expansion in our Eastern region we are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our team. Working in our new Braintree office on residential projects the role will form a key part of the regional finance team whilst offering the opportunity for excellent career progression. The role will oversee the regional finance processing, ensuring policy, procedures and controls are adhered to and applied in line with the Dandara Finance Manual.

Act as primary contact within the finance department, ensuring that payment processes are robust and controlled, and outputs delivered correctly and in a timely manner, escalating issues to the Head of Finance when appropriate.
Organise/collate all incoming invoices, matching to goods received notes.
Ensure correct approvals obtained prior to processing.
Regular interaction with commercial and production departments to obtain authorisations and resolve queries.
Inputting invoice details onto our financial management/accounting system, ensuring VAT is correctly applied.
Compiling reports as required; organise/collate back up to support payment runs; monitor and clear down unallocated cash.
Bank reconciliations.
House Sales journal reconciliations.
Preparation and review of overhead, customer care and sales budgets.
Review and processing of expenses.
Carry out monthly supplier reconciliations.
Ensure utility accounts are transferred to new homeowners in a timely manner.
Compile accrual report for construction team project reconciliations.
Year-end creditor reconciliations.
Additional ad-hoc duties as required.

**What you will have**:
Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger/Accounts role is required.
Knowledge of the construction industry would be an advantage but not essential.
Ability to work on own initiative with mínimal supervision.
Proficient IT skills.
