About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Holroyd Howe. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of food quality and presentation are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate a team of kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance our culinary offerings
  • Ensure that all kitchen operations are running efficiently and effectively, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Collaborate with our Executive Head Chef to plan and execute special events and menus
  • Act as a role model and mentor to junior staff members, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and career
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or equivalent in a busy, high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge, with a passion for creativity and innovation
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and composed demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
