Job Summary:

Biogen is seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our team at our Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the safe operation of the AD plant, including routine checking and maintenance activities.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness are maintained on site.
  • Follow health and safety and environmental regulations, and demonstrate a positive attitude towards regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in a related industry, preferably in waste management or a similar field.
  • A valid driving licence is essential.
  • Telehandler experience and a certificate would be an advantage, but training will be provided if not already held.

Biogen is the UK's leader in anaerobic digestion (AD) and one of the largest independent AD operators in the UK. We have a combined network of nineteen AD plants located across England, Scotland, and Wales, providing cost-effective, low-carbon food and organic waste management solutions to supermarkets, the hospitality industry, food manufacturers, and local authorities across the UK. Our AD sites recycle over half a million tonnes of food waste each year.

What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £24,000 - £27,000 dependent on experience, plus overtime.
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays, 4% employer pension, and x4 life assurance.
