Salary: £130 – 180k, depending on experience + car allowance

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Department General Manager to join our team at Centre People. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our Business Intelligence team in the European region.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Economic and Political Analysis: Monitor, research, and analyze economic and political events and trends within the EU and wider Europe region.
  • Intelligence Sharing: Share intelligence regarding economic and political events and trends with relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with relevant departments of Tokyo HQ and other global intelligence teams.
  • Information Network Development: Develop and coordinate information network with external entities such as think-tanks and governmental institutions.
  • Knowledge Gathering: Attend external seminars or symposiums to collect information and develop an information network.
  • Field Research: Visit countries throughout the Europe region to collect information and extend the company's information gathering network.
  • Team Management: Manage and help to develop the potential of members of staff in Brussels and London.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Senior Level Experience: Significant experience working at a senior level in a think-tank or research department.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and networking skills.
  • Business Analysis: Good level of economic, political, international relations, and business analytical skills.
  • Presentation Skills: Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Critical Thinking: Logical and critical thinking skills, Budgeting and/or cost control experience.
  • Language Fluency: Business level fluency in both English and Japanese.
