Join Our Team as a Residential Support Worker

Polaris Community seeks a dedicated Support Care Worker to provide high-quality support to our young residents.

This casual opportunity offers flexibility in your schedule, with shifts varying depending on the needs of the service.

The estimated salary for this role is £11.95 per hour.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sleep-ins, daily routines, and supporting young people in various aspects of their lives
  • Developing life skills and promoting socialization among the residents
  • Maintaining accurate records of daily activities and updates
  • Participating in housecleaning tasks, laundry duties, and food preparation
  • Communicating effectively with families and engaging in regular contact

Key Requirements:

  • Able to commit to flexible schedules, including sleep-in nights and evening shifts
  • Familiarity with issues affecting young people in care and an empathetic approach
  • Hold or be willing to obtain relevant qualifications, such as Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and relationship-building
  • Comfortable with conducting DBS checks and adhering to safeguarding policies
