Job Role Profile:

The role of the Finance Business Partner at Halfords Group PLC is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic financial support to the business. As a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, you will be responsible for delivering effective financial analysis and commentary, driving business performance, and controlling costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Finance teams in delivering the company's strategic objectives by providing timely and insightful financial information.
  • Produce high-quality financial analysis and commentary, including weekly and monthly reporting, to inform commercial decision making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to drive operational efficiencies and challenge costs where necessary.
  • Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts for future activity, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Provide ad hoc financial information and analysis to support various projects and initiatives.
  • Present financial information to the B2B Retail Leadership Team, including monthly performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyse complex data to inform commercial decision making and drive business growth.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy of reporting and analysis.
  • Utilise strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, to drive financial modelling and analysis.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis and commentary, with a strong understanding of financial modelling and forecasting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and driving business growth.
