Job Summary

The Finance Business Partner will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and providing commercial insight to key stakeholders. This position is a great opportunity for an individual with excellent analytical and business partnering skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as a dedicated Business Partner to the Marketing Director and Customer Director, providing cross-functional support to all Commercial functions.
  2. Take ownership of advertising and promotional spend, collaborating with the Marketing and Customer teams to establish a measurement framework for evaluating the effectiveness of investment in this area.
  3. Develop and maintain quarterly forecasts and budgets, highlighting opportunities and risks to the Marketing, Customer, and Finance Directors to ensure strategy aligns with overall business and individual divisional objectives.
  4. Prepare and present weekly and monthly divisional reports on A&P spend, including month-end results and in-month spend performance vs expectation.
  5. Evaluate marketing campaign performance and lead post-campaign performance reviews.
  6. Provide commercial support on key strategic projects, such as loyalty, cross-shop, and customer experience initiatives.
  7. Effectively manage a junior analyst, prioritizing day-to-day activities, setting objectives that align with finance team and overall business objectives, and providing ongoing development support.
  8. Offer ad hoc analysis and support to the Head of Finance - Customer & Transformation as required.
Requirements
  1. Hold a Professional Qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
  2. Demonstrate a proven track record of high performance in a commercial finance business partnering role.
  3. Exhibit excellent commercial acumen, understanding business objectives and focusing activity to yield the greatest commercial benefit.
  4. Have a working knowledge of SAP and ability to execute month-end processes and reporting.
