About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our Port and Marine team in Newcastle. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in civil and structural engineering and a proven track record of delivering complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, preparation, and successful completion of deliverables
  • Review and check technical specifications, reports, and technical notes to a high standard
  • Mentor staff to achieve technical solutions and provide support for their development
  • Communicate and liaise with other disciplines and clients to ensure clear understanding of scope and deliverables
  • Design structures in the Marine Environment, including quay walls, piers, jetties, revetment, breakwaters, fendering, scour protection, linkspan supports, dolphins, etc.
  • Work with public and private clients, lead teams, and establish work streams with clients on both existing and new contracts
  • Have a good understanding of British Standards, Eurocodes, and best practice in the maritime environment
  • Understand CDM, Safety in design, and CEMD
  • Deliver projects over a range of cost and complexity
  • Work in multi-disciplinary teams and have experience in the UK Maritime industry
Requirements
  • CEng / IEng qualified in civil or structural engineering – or anticipating achieving this status imminently
  • Be able to obtain SC Clearance
