Our client Scottish Power Renewables is seeking a highly skilled Project Certification Manager to oversee the certification process of an ongoing contract position based in either London or Glasgow.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Ensure that the project is designed, executed, and commissioned in accordance with applicable Certification scheme.
  2. Manage the certification contract and act as the primary liaison between the project certifier and various project packages.
  3. Provide guidance and support to project packages to ensure correct understanding and application of Certification scheme and identification of the deliverables needed to fulfil the Certification scheme.
  4. Flag, track and communicate potential conditions imposed by the Project Certifier to the affected project packages.
  5. Challenge non-justified requests, requirements or conditions raised by the Project Certifier.
  6. Establish and maintain the project certification programme, aligning it with the overall project timeline and milestones.
  7. Proactively identify risks of non-compliance with standards and work with project packages to develop mitigation measures.
  8. Minimize impacts on project schedule and budget by implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
  9. Report status, progress, and risks with regards to Project Certifier scope, costs, or programme to the Engineering Manager and other members of the project team as required.
  10. Advise on potential overlaps, synergies, risks, and opportunities resulting from the engagement of multiple independent 3rd parties in the project.
  11. Plan and manage (remotely) site inspections to fulfil requirements from Certification.
  12. Ensure that the project certification process follows the project document management procedure, including proper documentation and version control.
  13. Manage the transfer of documentation between the Project Certifier contractor and the project packages.
  14. Ensure that all communication, assessment, advice, and recommendations are fully documented in accordance with the project communication procedures.
  15. Ensure that appropriate lessons learnt from the certification process in EA Three offshore wind farm will be derived and captured.
  16. Knowledge and experience in engineering design and delivery of offshore windfarms.
  17. Experience in Project and Contract Management.
  18. Understanding of Project Certification scope.
  19. Fluent in English.
  20. IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT based project management software.
