About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Nursery Chef/Cook to join our team at Hemsley House Nursery School in Maidstone.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for our children, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene, and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook healthy meals for all children attending the nursery
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen
  • Ensure all children have access to nutritious food options, including those with specific dietary needs
  • Collaborate with the nursery team to provide a safe and engaging environment for children
Requirements:
  • Level 2 Food and Hygiene qualification
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and COSHH guidelines
