Job Title: Generator Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Generator Service Technician to join our team. As a Generator Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining diesel and gas engine driven standby generators in the field.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including oil and filter changes, spark plug replacement, and visual inspections of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnosis of generator issues, including alternators, wiring harnesses, switches, and battery systems.
  • Commission and start up new generators, including design review, testing, and switchgear programming.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Document all work completed, including reports and maintenance records.
Qualifications:
  • Technical school graduation or equivalent experience in generators, diesel engines, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in repair or maintenance of generators, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 75 lbs.
