Job Title: Generator Field Service Technician

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Generator Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Generator Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining diesel and gas engine driven standby generators for our residential, commercial, and industrial clients.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including oil and filter changes, spark plug replacement, and visual inspections of mechanical and electrical systems.

* Conduct thorough inspections of generators to identify potential issues and perform repairs as needed.

* Clean and test generators, including oil, fuel, and air filters, cooling systems, and electrical components.

* Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with generators, including alternators, wiring harnesses, switches, switchgear, battery systems, and engine components.

* Commission and start up new generators, including design review, testing, and switchgear programming.

* Communicate effectively with customers to provide clear explanations of issues and resolutions.

**Requirements:**

* Technical school graduation or equivalent experience in generator repair and maintenance.

* Previous experience in generator repair or maintenance is preferred.

* Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret schematics, operating manuals, and safety guidelines.

* Good communication and customer service skills.

* Ability to obtain a DOT medical certification and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
