Job Title: Financial Analyst

At Babcock International Group, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As a Financial Analyst, you'll play a key role in providing financial support to our LGE business. You'll work closely with the LGE Finance team and the LGE business to provide robust reporting, enabling the business to understand its financial performance and make informed decisions.

The Role

As a Financial Analyst, you'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the delivery of the monthly management accounts for the LGE group of companies.
  • Supporting the delivery of the key monthly accounting model for IFRS15.
  • Specific ownership of the Aftersales/Service financial reporting, LGE LLC financial reporting, and LGE IP Co financial reporting.
  • Supporting the delivery of the annual Budget for the LGE group of companies.
  • Specific ownership of the Budget/forecast for LGE LLC, LGE IP Co, and BPC submissions for LGE Budget/forecast.
  • Supporting Ad Hoc Activities.

This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and is based in Rosyth with hybrid working arrangements.

Essential Experience

  • Accuracy and attention to detail are critical.
  • High-quality communication is vital.
  • Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with the LGE business and work closely with the LGE Finance team and the Marine Finance team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to resolve issues, big and small.
  • Excel skills, including solid knowledge of VLOOKUP.

Qualifications

  • Degree-level education is strongly preferred.
  • Accounting qualification is not essential, but the incumbent in the role will be a part-qualified accountant who is actively studying Part Qualified Accountant (preferably CIMA or ACCA).

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC Clearance security level.
