About the Role

Pentagon Motor Group is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their Barnsley Dealership team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with new, used, and Motability vehicles within a large Main Dealer.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in target-driven sales, with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to tailor presentations to individual customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and recommend appropriate funding and insurance options for customers
  • Meet agreed profitability targets
  • Monitor finance and insurance performance against budget
  • Assist management in planning, forecasting trends, and revising plans for the dealership
  • Coach and develop the skills of the team to achieve business objectives

Requirements

  • Experience in target-driven, Motor Trade sales
  • Ability to organise, prioritise, and reprioritise workloads
  • Good negotiation skills and ability to tailor presentations to individual customer needs
  • Compliance with operating processes, industry regulations, and legislation
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team
  • Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle legislation, consumer legislation, and trade practices
