Senior Community Midwife Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Community Midwife Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing autonomous, evidence-based, women-centred midwifery care, whilst working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, other agencies, representatives, and service users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement individualised midwifery care that is women, pregnant person, child, and family centred.
- Ensure all risk assessments and referrals are completed and actioned and documented.
- Follow midwifery/obstetric guidelines where appropriate and liaise with the multidisciplinary team in the implementation of patient care, reporting and recording any deviations from the protocols.
- Ensure all clinical records comply with Trust and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in continuous professional development, including mandatory training and online learning.
- Satisfy the Clinical Governance agenda in all aspects of the delivery of care.
Requirements:
- Current NMC Registered Midwife
- Mentorship qualification or equivalent experience
- Able to demonstrate a good level of theoretical midwifery knowledge
- Experience of working in all clinical areas
- Able to contribute to the development of students, Midwives, and oneself
- Communication skills - able to relate and communicate with patients and staff at all levels and from different professions.
