Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fostering Supervising Social Worker to join our team at North East Ambition. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to foster parents, promoting a therapeutic model of care, and ensuring the well-being and safety of children in their care.

The ideal candidate will possess a suitable Social Work qualification, registration with Social Work England, and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. A strong understanding of social work principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are essential for this role.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To provide training and support to foster parents in the therapeutic model of care
  • To ensure the application of skills and knowledge by foster parents in their day-to-day practice
  • To maintain accurate records and reporting as required
  • To collaborate with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children
