About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at the Transformation Unit in West Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • To assist the Practitioner Psychologist(s) in the professional psychological care of children and families within Paediatrics, providing psychological assessment and interventions under supervision.">
  • To undertake protocol-based assessments, applying psychological tests and measures, and assessing children and their families in various settings.">
  • To help formulate and implement plans for formal treatment and management, employing evidence-based methods across all care settings.">
  • To work with other staff to assess clients and review their care in preparation for multi-disciplinary reviews.">

Person Specification:

  • ">
  • Degree in Psychology and entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychology Society.">
  • Postgraduate training in relevant areas of psychology and mental health practice.">
  • Experience working with children, young people, and their families, preferably as an Assistant Psychologist.">
  • Strong communication and counselling skills, with ability to interact with people with mental health problems.">
  • An understanding of child mental health needs and difficulties.">
  • A desire to explore a career in professional psychology.">

Salary Information:

The salary range for this role is approximately £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
