Your Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd level support within the UK, ensuring seamless IT operations for all locations.
  • Handle joiner/mover/leaver processes using ServiceNow, streamlining the onboarding and offboarding experience.
  • Support standard applications (M365, Adobe) and manage software provisioning (SCCM), ensuring a stable and efficient IT environment.
  • Install, maintain, and provision client hardware (desktops, laptops, tablets, barcode scanners) and peripherals (printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines), ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
  • Provide telephony VoIP support, ensuring clear and reliable communication.
  • Offer network support (LAN) and monitor WAN and Server VMs, ensuring a secure and stable network infrastructure.
  • Manage mobile devices and contracts, ensuring compliance and optimal performance.
  • Conduct introduction and training sessions, ensuring a smooth transition for new team members.
  • Contribute as a team member to various projects, driving innovation and improvement.
  • Act as a local contact for Platform Services, providing expert support and guidance.
  • Handle quotes and the order process for hardware, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.

Requirements

  • Relevant educational qualifications, demonstrating a strong foundation in IT and technology.
  • 3 years of work experience in the IT Service Desk area, with a proven track record of delivering excellent support.
  • Experience in ICT service operations, with a deep understanding of ITIL principles.
  • Broad technical skills in hardware, OS, and software (Microsoft, mobile devices), with a strong foundation in Server OS, network (Meraki), and storage (Simplivity).
  • Basic application architecture know-how, with a solid understanding of technical concepts.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual abilities, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Independence with excellent team skills for collaboration with IS specialists and key users.
  • Open and communicative, enjoying interaction with people through telephone and Teams support.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel (approximately 20% within the UK), with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent English language skills (oral and written), with a strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
