Job Description

This full-time, permanent role is an exciting opportunity to join a firm of chartered accountants as an Audit Senior Manager. The position primarily focuses on accounts and audit work, with the ability to adjust levels based on the applicant's experience and aspirations.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering Accountancy Services
  • Leading audits from planning through to completion, collaborating with the team and clients as necessary
  • Hosting and conducting pre-audit and post-audit meetings with clients
  • Providing accountancy advice and support to clients
  • Conducting client meetings for the presentation of final draft accounts
  • Mentoring the team by reviewing their work and encouraging prompt and high-quality delivery and service
  • Developing and expanding the team's skillset through development plans and training and support
  • Contributing to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified ACA or ACCA or equivalent
  • At least 5+ years of post-qualification experience in practice
  • Experience in accounts preparation, auditing SME-sized limited companies, taxation (corporate, business & personal)
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent planning, organisation & deadline time keeping skills
  • Good computer skills
