About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our dynamic Nutrition Support Service at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Band 6 Dietitian, you will play a vital role in supporting patients in the community who are at risk of malnutrition.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide care for patients at risk of malnutrition by liaising with patients, relatives, and carers, using a food-based approach and prescribing oral nutritional supplements in line with the North Central London (NCL) formulary.
  • Gain experience in supporting patients on home enteral tube feeding, contributing to their nutritional care together with other healthcare professionals.
  • Regularly interact with GP practices, hospital dietitians, pharmacists, and other community-based teams, ensuring coordinated care.
Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in Dietetics
  • Current AHP with UK HCPC registration
  • Evidence of other post-registration education and training in nutrition support and enteral feeding
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Membership of the British Dietetics Association
  • Member of Special Interest Group
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Advanced skills in the assessment and treatment of clients with nutrition-related disease
  • Good communication and report writing skills, in both verbal and written format
  • Basic IT skills - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
