Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Child Psychotherapist to join our team as a Lead Psychotherapist for Children and Adolescents. As part of our dedicated mental health team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and contributing to the provision of high-quality psychoanalytic psychotherapy across CWAMH.

About the Role
  • You will work closely with the Joint Heads of Psychological Services to contribute to workforce planning, recruitment, staff training, and development.
  • Responsibilities include responding to queries regarding psychoanalytic psychotherapy, leading on therapy-specific pathways development, and supporting the maintenance and development of clinical skills for clinicians trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

Qualifications and Training
  • Post-graduate qualification in relevant mental health/social welfare profession and significant demonstrable practice.
  • Doctoral level qualification in Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
  • Registration as a Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with the ACP.
  • Clinical practice in relevant first profession (in Health and/or Social Care settings).
Estimated Salary:

£62,215 - £72,293 per annum pro rata, depending on experience.

Please note that this role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
