Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled CAMHS Senior Family Therapist to join our team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide evidence-based treatment for eating disorders.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. As a CAMHS Senior Family Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating children with eating disorders, working collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our service, participating in research projects and audits, and sharing your expertise with colleagues through supervision and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat children with eating disorders using evidence-based therapies
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other professionals
  • Conduct research projects and audits to improve our service and outcomes for patients
  • Provide supervision and training to colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A postgraduate qualification in a relevant mental health/social welfare profession (e.g., social worker, nurse, psychologist) or AFT agreement
  • A Master's degree in Systemic Psychotherapy
  • Eligibility for UKCP registration
  • Further training in Systemic Supervision

In addition, you will have:

  • Experience of working with children, young people, and their families in a hospital/paediatric psychology setting
  • Some experience of working with different service user groups
  • Experience of maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse, and threat of physical abuse
  • Experience of working in a family therapy team
  • Experience of delivering supervision
Salary and Benefits
