About this SEN Teaching Assistant Role

GSL Education is seeking a motivated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary school in Oldham. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with children and understand their individual needs.
  • Support pupils with social and emotional needs, providing tailored support to help them thrive.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
  • Previous experience working with children or adults in a caring capacity is essential.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Desirable experience in care work, PRU, or SEMH settings.
