School Support Assistant Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated School Support Assistant to work in our specialist schools in Cheshire, supporting students with complex needs.

This is a temporary, full-time opportunity that can lead to a permanent role within the school. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 3:30pm, term-time only.

About Our Schools:
  • The schools provide education for students with additional needs, such as Autism, Down's Syndrome, and ADHD.
  • Fully equipped facilities support a stimulating learning environment for children and young people aged 4-18 years.
Key Tasks:
  • Supporting students with complex needs through individual and group assistance.
  • Collaborating with the class teacher to develop and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and contributing to Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with children with additional needs in an educational setting.

Salary Range:$25,000-$35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
