Digital Music Expertise – Director Role

This role plays a pivotal part in nurturing and managing the relationship between BMG UK and Apple Music. An expert in digital retailer platforms, especially Apple Music, is required to operate with a deep understanding of the power of music in the digital space.

The Director of DSP Sales department connects BMG's artists with our Digital Partners, building opportunities and partnerships that connect their music with fans – old and new. A 12-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave starts in January 2025.

  1. Serve as the lead relationship manager for Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Deezer in the UK.
  2. Work closely with BMG UK's Recorded Music repertoire owners on priorities, artists, and projects.
  3. Pitch artists and deliver assets for both playlisting and marketing opportunities.
  4. Collaborate closely with the Global Apple Music team at BMG, driving new business initiatives and developing innovative practices.
  5. Report key news and industry trends in the streaming space to the BMG UK Recorded Music team.
  6. Work closely with the Analytics team on streaming performance and make appropriate recommendations.
Your Profile:
  1. A demonstrated experience as a streaming expert in the music industry with a strong background in digital marketing and commerce.
  2. Experience in relationship building with accounts, clients, artist managers, and internal teams.
  3. A creative mind with the ability to bring forth new ideas to drive forward targeted marketing campaigns.
Salary and Benefits:
£55,000 - £60,000 per annum,
dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications, and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits including
