Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Housing Director to partner with Hammersmith and Fulham Council in driving strategic and operational improvements across the Council's Housing Management division. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on Neighbourhood Services, Estate Management, Leaseholders, and effective contract management.

About the Role
This position requires a professional who can balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight, ensuring an excellent resident-focused housing service across 17,000 homes. Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading Operational Delivery: Providing operational leadership for Neighbourhood and Estate Management, Leaseholder Services, and contract management, ensuring services are responsive, efficient, and continuously improving.
  • Driving Resident-Centred Services: Championing a resident-first approach, embedding continuous improvement across housing services and strengthening relationships with residents and stakeholders.
  • Developing and Implementing Strategies: Collaborating with the Director of Housing Transformation to develop and implement strategies that drive resident satisfaction, service improvements, and financial efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Housing Management, with experience in strategic leadership, operational delivery, and resident-centred services. They will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, stakeholders, and colleagues.
