Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Officer to join our team in Leeds, working 30 hours a week on site.

The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum and the chance to work with a reputable company in the retail sector.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Creating and implementing health and safety policies to ensure compliance with legal guidelines.
  2. Evaluating workplace practices and facilities to identify risks and improve safety.
  3. Delivering employee training on safety protocols and monitoring compliance with safety regulations.
  4. Investigating accidents and incidents to provide recommendations for improvement.
Key Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager, developing and enforcing safety policies.
  2. Effective leadership skills, including communication with employees and management teams.
  3. Knowledge of HSE legislation and ability to stay updated on future requirements.
  4. Experience conducting regular safety audits and identifying potential hazards.
