We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced publishing professional to join our team as Senior Scientific Editor and Publisher.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the editorial and strategic development of the Cambridge Prisms series, overseeing the launch of new titles and the continued growth of existing journals.

You will have the opportunity to shape the future of open access publishing in a dynamic and mission-driven organization like Cambridge University Press & Assessment.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in scholarly publishing, including journal development and commissioning, as well as strong understanding of OA publishing and the evolving research landscape.

About the Role:

Job Title: Senior Scientific Editor/Publisher

Salary: £50,300 - £65,700

Location: Cambridge, Hybrid (2-3 days per week in the office)

Contract: Fixed-term (9 months), full-time (35 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive content acquisition and commissioning, ensuring targets and programme goals are met.
  • Champion open research principles while ensuring editorial quality and operational excellence.
