Job Description

At Frasers Group, we're committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences through innovative retail solutions. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the uptime and availability of our automated equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on automated equipment, including tote conveyors, spiral conveyors, sorters, shuttles, and robotics.
  • Perform fault-finding and diagnosis of mechanical and electrical faults, responding promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Prioritize system faults and optimize uptime and availability of automated equipment.
  • Complete reports in line with requirements using CMMS and Microsoft software packages.
  • Comply with health and safety legislation as a top priority.
  • Participate in the delivery, installation, commissioning, and testing of upgrades and enhancements.
  • Ensure optimal levels of onsite spare parts are maintained.
  • Support site meetings as required.
  • Mentor, train, and advise junior members of the team.

Requirements:

  • Recognized engineering apprenticeship, ONC, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline (multiskilled preferable).
  • Experience working with automated material handling systems.
  • Ability to work at height.
  • Capable of understanding mechanical, electrical, and electronic technical manuals and drawings.
  • Proven competence in H&S.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of control systems and techniques.
  • Ability to work in a time-critical environment.
  • Effective time and workload management skills.
  • PC literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
