Job Title: Maintenance Technician
At Frasers Group, we're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you'll provide site-based support to ensure the uptime and availability of our automated equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in minimizing downtime and optimizing system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance and repair of automated equipment.
- Perform planned and reactive repairs of automated material handling equipment.
- Assist in fault-finding and diagnosis of mechanical and/or electrical faults.
- Respond to automation faults and breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Prioritize system faults and optimize uptime and availability.
- Complete reports as required using CMMS and Microsoft software packages.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Participate in the delivery, installation, commissioning, and testing of upgrades and enhancements.
- Maintain optimum levels of onsite spare parts.
- Support site meetings as required.
- Mentor and train junior team members.
Requirements:
- Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Experience working with automated material handling systems.
- Ability to work at height.
- Understanding of technical manuals and drawings.
- Proven competence in health and safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of control systems and techniques.
- Ability to work in a time-critical environment.
- Effective time and workload management skills.
- PC literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
