Job Description

Role:

Project Manager


We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of construction projects, ensuring timely completion, quality, and client satisfaction.


The successful candidate will work closely with the lead Construction Director, external clients, and internal teams to manage project risks, specifications, and timescales.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project delivery, including time, procurement, and contractors
  • Liaise with Project Manager or Contracts Manager to ensure project progress and financial, specification, and time risks are addressed
  • Manage sub-contractors, monitoring attendance and progress, and providing direct instruction and support as needed
  • Ensure compliance with Site Manager responsibilities, health and safety policies, and complete relevant documentation
  • Implement safe working practices and safety procedures across the site/project/contract
  • Ensure detailed plans are available to meet project deadlines and material resources are delivered on time
  • Identify additional work and notify the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, or Contracts Manager of potential opportunities
  • Work under the direction of a Project Manager or Contracts Manager, using company information systems and databases effectively
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and instructions at all times
  • Implement new ideas and methods to improve contribution to the company's goals and enhance the company's reputation
  • Lead, motivate, communicate with, develop, appraise, and performance manage staff to achieve the best performance
  • Exhibit Rainsford values and promote equality and diversity in all aspects of work
  • Ensure adherence to the Rainsford anti-bribery policy
  • Perform any other duties required to enable the company to respond effectively to its needs


Required Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong knowledge of construction, construction management, and design-build construction
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Strong self-management skills to ensure timely issue of project deliverables
  • Ability to monitor and review the as-built drawing process
  • Team player with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong customer focus
  • Commercial, financial, and contractually aware with good communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
