Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team, providing support to individual young people with complex health, physical, and learning needs within our children's home.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality personal care and promote opportunities for independence
- Encourage young people to socialise and be included, helping them reach their own personal outcomes
- Understand and respond to the young person's communication needs
- Produce a safe and stimulating environment for young people
- Promote the health and well-being of the young people
- Attend and actively participate in handover meetings, key worker meetings, and liaise with colleagues and management
- Complete key worker activities and responsibilities with individual key young people
- Work alongside external agencies and professionals, such as social workers, families, and healthcare professionals
- Keep accurate records and report on the young people you work with
- Has or is willing to work towards the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) or a qualification considered equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
