Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to individual young people with complex health, physical, and learning needs within our children's homes.
  • Attend to the day-to-day needs of the young people and support them to access and participate in various activities.
  • Registration with Social Care Wales.
  • Provide high-quality personal care and promote opportunities for independence.
  • Encourage socialization and inclusion among young people.
  • Understand and respect individual communication needs.
  • Produce a safe and stimulating environment for young people.
  • Promote the health and well-being of young people.
  • Attend and participate in handover meetings, key worker meetings, and liaise with colleagues and management.
  • Complete key worker activities and responsibilities with individual key young people.
  • Work alongside external agencies and professionals.
  • Keep accurate records and report on young people's progress.
  • Maintain effective contact with parents and guardians.
  • Be reliable and flexible, using initiative when making decisions.
  • Attend relevant training provided by the organization.
  • Maintain a high standard of tidiness within the home.
  • Undertake sleeping in duties.
  • Report to management and perform additional duties as requested.
  • Be proactive in assessing and reporting risk.
Requirements

We are seeking experienced support workers who are passionate about delivering high-quality care and education. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Has or is willing to work towards the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) or a qualification considered equivalent.
