Overview: We are seeking a full-time PSV/HGV mechanic to join our expert maintenance team for our high-demand fleet. This role requires performing vehicle maintenance, repairs, and diagnostic tasks while adhering to both company and DVSA standards.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is £42,500, considering the location and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular checks and services on coaches and vans, ensuring they meet safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Repairs & Diagnostics: Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and system faults, applying proper repair methods.
  • Compliance & MOTs: Prepare vehicles for MOTs, upholding company and DVSA standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance, adhering to regulatory needs.
  • Emergency Assistance: Respond to on-road breakdowns and perform road testing as required.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in PSV or HGV maintenance, repair, and diagnostics.
  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Desirable skills include a PSV license and welding expertise.
  • A thorough understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
