We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team at Optima Site Solutions Ltd., an internationally recognized transport and logistics company.

About the Role

  1. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing inspections and repair work on trailers, as well as servicing and preparing them for MOTs.
  2. They will diagnose and resolve issues using Electronic Braking System (EBS) systems such as HALDEX, WABCO, and KNORR BREMSE.
  3. Ongoing product and industry training will be provided to ensure the technician stays up-to-date with the latest technology and techniques.
  4. In addition, they will be required to adhere to all health and safety requirements while in the workplace.

Compensation Package

  • A competitive salary of £42,000.00 per annum
  • 4 on 4 off shift pattern (40.5 hours per week)
  • Overtime available during weekdays and double time on Sundays and bank holidays

Requirements

  1. At least 2 years of experience working with semi-trailers or heavy vehicles
  2. Industry standard qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent)
  3. IRTEC accreditation (desirable)
  4. EBS diagnostics experience, including Knorr Bremse, Haldex, and WABCO systems (desirable)
  5. Double deck / lifting deck trailer experience (desirable)
