Domiciliary Care Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domiciliary Care Assistant to join our team at St Monica Trust. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their independence, dignity, and well-being at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Comprehensive Care and Support: Deliver a high-quality care and support service, including personal care and hygiene, while maintaining the independence and dignity of our residents.
- Ensure Social Support: Encourage and facilitate the interests and meaningful activities of our residents, promoting their social well-being and quality of life.
- Assist with Health and Well-being: Support residents with their health and well-being needs, including nutrition, medication, mobility, and health appointments.
- Develop and Maintain Care Plans: Formulate, review, and maintain resident care plans, ensuring consistency with regulatory bodies and St Monica Trust policies.
- Build Positive Relationships: Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders, promoting a culture of trust and respect.
- Undertake Housekeeping and Laundry Duties: Perform housekeeping and laundry duties as necessary, ensuring a clean and comfortable living environment for our residents.
- Understanding of Older People's Needs: Demonstrate a clear understanding of the needs of older people, including dementia and complex care needs.
- Personal Care Skills: Possess the ability to attend to personal care needs, including helping with food, bathing, and toileting.
- IT Skills: Have a good level of IT skills, including Microsoft packages.
- Care Certificate: Hold a Care Certificate or be willing to work towards it.
- First Aid, Food Hygiene, and Manual Handling: Possess qualifications in First Aid, food hygiene, and manual handling.
