About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Strategic Development Manager to join our HS2 NPR Development Team at TfGM. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing the early-stage development of schemes, developing robust transport business cases, and ensuring the successful delivery of authorized funded strategic rapid transit projects and programmes.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of schemes, including feasibility studies, Strategic Outline Cases, and Outline Business Cases.
  • Develop and maintain robust transport business cases, including the right approvals and consents, and appropriate funding and financing arrangements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the city-region, including politicians, local councils, and developers, to ensure schemes are developed that best fit GM's requirements.
  • Liaise with senior representatives of the Department for Transport (DfT), HS2 Ltd, and other public and private bodies to shape proposals and ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery.

  • A competitive salary of £56,361 to £63,438 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.

What We're Looking For

  • A background in scheme development at the front end of the project management lifecycle.
  • Experience of building productive working relationships with a variety of professional, political, and public stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills, with the ability to communicate transport solutions at all levels.
