About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Strategic Development Manager to join our Rapid Transit Development service area within the Transport Strategy Directorate. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of mass transit in Greater Manchester.

As a Senior Strategic Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing the early-stage development of new lines and extensions for the Greater Manchester rapid transit system. This will involve working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including politicians, professionals, and the public, to ensure that schemes are underpinned by sound strategic planning and have robust transport business cases.

You will also be responsible for building strong relationships with key stakeholders, driving continuous improvement, and embedding a positive, supportive team culture that results in high performance.

About the Team

Our team is responsible for leading on the early-stage development of rapid transit projects and programmes on behalf of Greater Manchester. We work closely with our partners to develop policies and strategies that shape the future of transportation in our city-region.
