We are seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join our team in the Department of Nursing and Allied Health at Norfolk State University. The successful candidate will teach courses in health informatics, advise and mentor students, and engage in scholarly activities, professional development, and service.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or doctorate in health informatics or a related field, with evidence of scholarly activity, professional development, and service. Experience working in the healthcare field is also required.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for all students regardless of background. The successful candidate will be expected to cultivate and foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in their teaching practices, assessment methods, and course management approaches.
