Job Description:

Nomura, a leading global financial services group, is seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Risk Manager to join our team in the EMEA region. As a key member of our Chief Controls Office (CCO), you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and operating industry-leading technology risk management frameworks.

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with our EMEA CIO and be part of a dynamic technology environment. You will be responsible for managing the EMEA CIO technology risk profile within risk appetite, working closely with first-line IT and senior management. Your expertise will help navigate complex landscapes of competing priorities, advising on where to avoid, transfer, mitigate, or accept technology risk. You will collaborate with Internal Audit, External Audit, Operational Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, and Resilience teams.

Main Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and operate IT risk management frameworks, including policies, standards, risks, controls, issues, etc.
• Lead Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and support process-led RCSAs
• Oversee Control Management, supporting the design, implementation, and operation of the control management lifecycle
• Manage Issue Management, including read-across, and operational events management and reporting
• Conduct scenario analysis and ensure the firm's Operational Risk Management Framework is embedded in EMEA CIO
• Support the CCO strategy and transformation programme in EMEA
• Engage with senior stakeholders and participate in risk management forums and committees

Requirements:
We are looking for an exceptional candidate with:
• 10+ years' experience in financial services, with a strong background in technology and technology risk management
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and operating industry-leading IT risk management frameworks, such as COBIT
• Knowledge of UK regulation, including Operational Resilience, and the EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA)
• A risk management qualification, such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CISSP
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
• Ability to learn quickly, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively at all levels within a global matrix organisation

Estimated Salary Range: £120,000 - £160,000 per annum, depending on experience
