  • Manage risks, conflicts of interest, and internal controls to safeguard the organization's reputation and charitable status.
  • Assess and address conflicts of interest, ensuring that our activities do not compromise our charitable objectives.

Requirements

  • Understanding and acceptance of the legal duties and responsibilities of directorship.
  • Ability to participate effectively in meetings, challenge and hold to account the organization's executive and other board colleagues.
  • Capacity to understand the need for balanced decision-making, taking account of the wider interests of our organization.
  • Demonstrable commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with the ability to recognize and challenge discrimination and bias in all its forms.

What We Offer

As a member of our board, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of our organization and make a meaningful impact on our success. You will also have access to regular board meetings, which are held quarterly for up to two hours, with occasional additional ad hoc meetings. Meetings are primarily held in person in Bath, although online attendance can be arranged if necessary.
