About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Complex Spinal Nursing Team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to deliver high-quality care to our patients and develop specialist spinal nursing skills.

Job Summary:

  • To provide expert care to patients with complex spinal conditions, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • To contribute to the development of the Complex Spinal Nursing Service, enhancing patient care and experience through innovation and best practice.
  • To work effectively in a dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing workload to meet deadlines and achieve targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Band 6 Staff Nurse in a relevant specialty.
  • Proven expertise in spinal nursing, with a strong understanding of neurogenic bladder and bowel management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Able to use IT systems to disseminate information, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based guidelines.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Postgraduate qualification in spinal nursing, orthopaedics, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching others and contributing to educational programs.
