Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Dine Contract Catering. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of menus, preparing and presenting high-quality food items, and ensuring unit financial targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and cook a wide range of fresh and pre-prepared food items to a high standard, ensuring presentation and quality meet our company's standards.
  • Manage food ordering, minimize waste, and follow recipes to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
  • Ensure all company and legislative paperwork and procedures are followed at all times, maintaining a high level of food safety and health and safety standards.
  • Support the Unit Manager in delivering team member training and conducting audits or stock taking as required.
  • Assist with special events and theme days, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our clients.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of customers and fellow team members, providing a positive and professional image of the company.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying knowledge to improve menu offerings and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Chef in a similar role, with a strong track record of menu development and food preparation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of customers and team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of food safety and health and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and tasks.
  • Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
