We are seeking a qualified Childcare Solicitor to join our team at James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of Childcare legal matters within a local authority.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position based predominantly from home, with 1 day per week in the office in Oxford. The salary for this role is £45,495 to £52,658 per annum.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a caseload of Childcare legal matters with minimal supervision
- Undertaking complex proceedings, including advocacy work
- Representing the organisation and supporting the delivery of legal services
- Providing strategic support to Elected Members and Directorate teams
- Supporting the development and delivery of Service Level Agreements between Legal Services and internal clients
- Proactively managing risks and opportunities in the best interest of the organisation
- Qualified Solicitor / CILEX Lawyer
- Experience within local government essential
- Strong experience within Childcare and Family Law is essential
- Up to 32 days annual leave (+ bank holidays)
- Excellent pension scheme, with employer contributions of up to 20% of salary
- Family friendly schemes, including generous maternity, paternity and support for carers and a tax-saving childcare voucher scheme
- 37 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
