Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Solicitor to join our team at James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd, working in partnership with a public sector organisation.

This permanent position will be based predominantly from home, with 1 day per week in the office in Oxford, and a salary of £45,495 to £52,658 per annum.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor, with extensive experience dealing with Childcare legal matters within a local authority.

Duties:

  • Managing a varied caseload covering a wide range of Childcare legal matters
  • Undertaking complex proceedings, including complex advocacy work
  • Representing the organisation and supporting the delivery of legal services
  • Providing strategic support to Elected Members and Directorate and Corporate teams
  • Supporting the development and delivery of Service Level Agreements between Legal Services and internal clients
  • Proactively managing risks and opportunities in the best interest of the organisation, escalating issues of concern to the Senior Lawyer and Principal Solicitor

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor / Legal Executive
  • Experience within local government essential
  • Strong experience within Childcare and Family Law is essential
