We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to join our team at Agricultural and Farming Jobs. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing strategic plans to optimize sales performance.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial P&L management
- Product pricing and management
- Leading a team of sales staff (3-8 direct reports)
- Implementing marketing activities and sales campaigns
- Maintaining and growing the current customer base
- Identifying and executing new sales business opportunities
- Efficiently managing sales territories
- Developing, training, and coaching the sales team
- Participating in annual budgeting and 3-year business planning
- Collaborating with Sales Managers to achieve monthly and annual targets
- Providing market insights to inform inventory provisions for UK and Ireland warehouses
We are looking for a Sales Director with:
- Experience in sales leadership within the agricultural or construction equipment sectors
- Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred)
- Strong knowledge of business functions and industry trends
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to see the big picture and provide solutions
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Willingness to travel (may require air and overnight travel)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and CRM
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic orientation
