The Baca Charity seeks a Youth Care Specialist to join our team in Loughborough. This live-in role offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young refugees seeking asylum in the UK.

Job Overview:

As a Youth Care Specialist, you will provide advice, assistance, and support to young people in the home, helping them develop essential life skills and overcome challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with young people to develop their physical, emotional, and educational wellbeing
  • Collaborate with the support team to ensure all young people receive the necessary care and support
  • Model positive behaviour and promote a safe and supportive environment
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans to help young people achieve their goals

Requirements:

  • Possess a strong understanding of child development and youth care principles
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Hold relevant qualifications or experience in youth care or a related field

Salary and Benefits:

Salary: £24,150 - £27,760 per annum (pro rata) equivalent to £16,100 - £18,506 for 25 hours a week
