About the Role

Optimum Recruitment Group Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team. As a key member of our Management Team, you will provide strategic commercial guidance to our organization, helping us achieve our growth objectives.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven FP&A professional to take on a leadership role and lead the function. You will work closely with the Management Team to provide high-quality, insightful management information to aid and influence decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Manage and collaborate with a team of business partners to deliver robust plans and forecasts.
  • Operational Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of Group forecasting, planning, and corporate reporting processes.
  • Performance Improvement: Prepare and evaluate revenue line PL's on a monthly basis to improve profitability and performance with the team.
  • Guidance and Insights: Provide guidance, review inputs, and offer insights while challenging assumptions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Create high-quality monthly board packs for the Group FC and CFO, presenting plans, forecasts, and actual results in an insightful manner that drives actions at the board level.
  • Performance Review: Work with the management team to review monthly performance against budget and determine necessary actions to be taken as a result.
  • Cash Flow Management: Cash flow forecasting; reviewing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual comparison of cash flows against budget.
  • Team Leadership: Support direct reports who partner with functional heads, including operations, to manage costs and achieve planning/forecast objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate existing approaches, identify areas for improvement, and simplify processes.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) with relevant PQE accounting experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience in finance business partnering, fostering collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Skills: Excellent critical and analytical thinking skills, self-starter with a high level of motivation to drive performance for the business, the team, and themselves.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing a team.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills at all levels.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to cultivate strong relationships across the organization.
  • Industry Experience: Previous industry experience in FP&A or commercial finance.
