Key Responsibilities

The FP&A Accountant role is a critical member of the Group FP&A team, reporting directly to the Group FP&A Director. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Group FP&A team in providing numerical, commercial insight, and analysis of key business drivers, as well as contributing to group-wide planning processes.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize reporting from the BSU to drive value-adding insight and support for all financial aspects of the business across regions and group-wide
  • Play a consolidation role in the annual budget process and subsequent reforecasting exercises, focusing on P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow elements
  • Develop and maintain strong modeling skills using Excel and other tools to assess business performance
  • Support senior team members by maintaining Excel models, ensuring their integrity, and ensuring data quality of inputs and outputs
  • Develop a deep understanding of major P&L/Balance sheet drivers from operational, financial, commercial, and people data
  • Contribute significantly to the budget/forecasting processes, providing requisite knowledge and understanding of the business to inform assumptions
  • Communicate findings and insights through clear and concise presentations/documents, such as the monthly board pack
Requirements

We are seeking a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with experience in a finance function, specifically in reporting, analysis, and accounting roles. The ideal candidate will have experience in month-end close and input to budgeting, as well as a proven track record of building detailed financial models and exposure to reporting cycles.

  • Strong accounting, modeling, and analysis skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Commercially focused finance professional with a sound understanding of the business and finance function
  • Ability to handle a wide range of topics related to performance and work under pressure
