Lifting Appliance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Lifting Appliance Engineer to join our team at a Global leading Aerospace and Defence organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and signing off lifts back into service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough examinations and maintenance of lifts and lifting appliances
  • Operate Safe Systems of Work in accordance with company SHE procedures
  • Diagnose and rectify defects in Marine Lifts, lifting appliances, and associated systems
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers
  • Engage with customers and authorities to discuss technical issues and problems
  • Produce detailed technical reports
Requirements:
  • Experience with examinations, maintenance, commissioning, and defect diagnosis of Marine Lifts and lifting appliances
  • Detailed technical knowledge of Mechanical Systems, specifically lifting appliances and lifts, their maintenance, relevant legislation, and inspection requirements
  • Demonstrable experience of maintenance and inspection of Lift appliances
  • Ability to carry out scheduled maintenance, thorough examinations, setting to work, fault diagnosis, and defect rectification
